The schools are busy and focused on getting high numbers of divers certified and through the system as quickly as possible. No doubt there are some excellent diving centres in Koh Tao however at the majority of schools you will get caught up with large groups with little time for those who might have special learning requirements or are seen to be 'holding the group back'. This causes there to be additional pressure on the individual as they learn diving. This is not ideal as the whole diving experience should be relaxing and enjoyable.
